Diin is the second planet out from the Dual Star.
Diin is entirely artificial, a landscape borne from Omega’s imagination. It is a large planet, criss-crossed with geometric shapes that cut into the metallic surface. There is little in the way of a natural ecosystem here. Instead, the planet buzzes with latent energetic forces.
Being second closest to the Dual Star, Diin has a stifling hot climate for much of its orbit. It is also host to one of the most wonderous sights in all the System, when Torth intercepts the Starfall being ejected from the Second Star. The Fall Eclipse silhouettes Torth in a kaleidoscope of colours, creating a jaw-dropping vista renowned throughout the System.
The NRG used to create Diin served as the first endeavour for the fledgling Corpo’s mining ambitions. Vast machines were created to crack the planet’s surface and extract the precious resource. As such, Diin soon became highly industrialized.
It was the natural fit as the Corporation’s base of operations, and within a few cycles the planet had changed. Huge structures of metal and concrete stretched towards the sky, and a dense network of buildings, mega-highways and Robit manufacturing plants became the new landscape.
Under the relentless pace of operations, Diin was soon transformed completely into the Ecumenopolis - the planet-sized city.
It is a highly structured place, designed for incredible efficiency measures by the most sophisticated A.I. in the Omega System.
